Wyoming

Wyoming is mainly made of mountain ranges and is considered to be the tenth largest state in the United States.  Wyoming is known for their historic sites that remind us of a past that is really not too far away.  Whether you want to understand how the Western pioneers lived, explore the state’s many natural wonders, take a mountain bike adventure, visit the country’s oldest National Park, or pitch a tent for some campfire fun, there is always plenty to see and do in Wyoming.

Yellowstone National Park is the world’s first National Park and has become a primary tourist attraction in the United States.  The park is known for the thousands of hot springs, the geysers that throw mass amounts of boiling water into the air and the wildlife.  Aside from the National Park’s, there are a few monuments that need to be seen.  The Devils Tower National Monument is the nation’s first national monument.  The formation is a cluster of rocks that form a stump shape.  The Fossil Butte National Monument attracts tourists to appreciate the brightly colored fossil beds.  The richest fossil fish deposits are found about three feet deep within the limestone layers of this monument.  Wildlife is very pronounced in Wyoming as well.  You will see some of the largest antelope, moose, white-tailed deer, sheep, cottontails and even some jackrabbits.  Bear is common but mainly only seen in the Yellowstone Park.

If parks, trails, and wildlife are of interest to you Wyoming is the place to visit.  It is truly an amazing experience for many.  Whether you are the outdoorsman type or not, it is astounding to see what the earth has created and preserved in this state.
