Wyoming is one of the last states, where you can see over 200 species of animals. Over half of Wyoming's acreage is set aside for the conservation of animals. Some of the common animals are deer, elk and antelope. Wyoming is on of the few states where wildlife can be seen from your vehicle. There are hundreds of rural routes that can be accessed by car and can provide a new scene and wildlife around every curve.
The land of Wyoming has seen massive changes over the years. The landscape varies from high mountains to flat lands that reach to the desert. Most of the land change has been due to volcanic eruptions or avalanches. Each area is ideal for the diverse group of animals the live in Wyoming. Some of the rare types of animals are buffalo, moose and big horn sheep. Big horn sheep were almost extinct but thanks to habitat and land conservancy there are more big horn sheep in Wyoming than any other place in the world.
An easy place to view animal life is around water. You will see everything from the bald eagle to beaver and a massive quantities of birds. Fishing is one of the largest sports available in Wyoming. Another sport would be big game hunts which are well governed by the government. Wild horses also have a place in Wyoming and the numbers continue to grow. Tourism is the major industry and rightly so.
